Dr. George Lin PH.D.

Dr. George Lin is a neuropsychologist with expertise in neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. He specializes in conducting neuropsychological assessments for diagnostic clarification. He is currently an assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Education and work history:

Dr. Lin earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University with a specialty in clinical neuropsychology. He completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and brain imaging research at the Geisel School of Medicine/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He subsequently became a clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School in Boston and worked as a neuropsychologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center within the Cognitive Neurology Unit where he was the primary neuropsychologist at the NAEC level 4 epilepsy center and the movement disorder clinic, and he also served as the Co-director of Learning and Education for the department of neurology.

Research:

Dr. Lin’s research focuses on cognition, mood, and behavior in various neurological, neurodevelopmental, and genetic disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder, Parkinson’s disease, myotonic dystrophy, and dementia.
