He is also finishing his second year in a 3-year specialized training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). ISTDP is an evidenced-based, active, and focused approach to therapy that aims to get to the underlying root causes of your symptoms and difficulties in order to promote profound and lasting changes. Therapy can be a successful vehicle for inner change when it is a collaborative and equal partnership. As your psychologist and teammate in therapy, Dr. Rory will put his greatest efforts to work with you to understand the nature of your difficulties and the personal changes you envision. He aims to partner with you to help you uncover and overcome the underlying patterns that contribute to your symptoms and hold you back from your goals, so that you can channel your deepest emotions and desires into adaptive actions in your daily life. If you are ready to dive deep and invest in your personal growth, healing and relationships, Dr. Rory looks forward to working together with you. He encourages you to bring your best efforts, motivation, and openness to the shared endeavor.
